Tests and Progress Report
Class tests as well as series of tests will be conducted at regular intervals during the semester.Performance in the series test,attendance,assignments and general conduct are the criteria for internal assessment.Reports of marks will be sent to the parents within a fortnight of the respective exam.
Counselling
The service of two full time professional counsellors are available in the college.In addition,each member of the faculty is entrusted with the responsibility of 15 students, to keep in track of their progress and performance.Students may contact their respective counsellors for guidance on all type of issues affecting them.
Class Timings
A five day schedule from Monday through Friday,is followed.Classes are from 8.30 a.m to 4.05 p.m.Students have to be in the class by 8.55 a.m
Forenoon session : 8.30-09.20 / 9.20-10.10 / 10.20-11.10 / 11.10-12.00
Afternoon session: 12.35-1.25 /1.25-2.15 / 2.25-3.15/3.15-4.05
Intervals: 10.10-10.20 Forenoon / 2.15-2.25 Afternoon
Attendance & Leave
Students shall attend classes regularly and punctually.Minimum attendance prescribed by the university is 75% of the working days.Attendance will be marked at the beginning of each period.Exemption from shortage of attendance up to 10% can be granted by the university on recomendation by the Principal.Such condonation willl be granted only once in S1/S2 together or 2 times during S3 to S8.
Students absenting themselves for more than 3 days at a stretch ,with or without leave,should on their return ,report to Principal/Dean,Academic and the concerned with parents.
Leave applications(regular &medical) shall be submitted in time, to the Principal,Academic through the class teachers and Heads of Departments concerned. Applications for leave on medical grounds shall be supported by valid medical certificates.Medical leave will be considered if the student falls short of attendance.Students are not entitled for attendance during leave.
