ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering, established in the academic year 2011–2012, has steadily evolved into a center of excellence, committed to delivering high-quality technical education. With a dedicated team of versatile faculty members specializing in various subfields of civil engineering, the department ensures a rich and diverse learning experience for students.
The department has state-of-the-art facilities, which include seven fully-equipped laboratories, a comprehensive department library, an exclusive seminar hall, and smart classrooms. These resources meet the rigorous standards required for undergraduate education, promote research publication, and support consultancy services. The department has developed exceptional experimental and computational capabilities that enable advanced research in emerging technologies.
The department is dedicated to the holistic development of students, preparing them to
become future leaders and innovators in the field of Civil Engineering.

VISION:
- To provide a wholesome knowledge and skills among civil engineering students for complete contribution to fulfill the changing industrial and research requirements, multi-disciplinary collaboration and to become the acknowledged leader with professional commitment and integrity.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)
- Our graduates will have fundamental technical knowledge in their domain and contribute to the development of various disciplines of civil engineering such as Structural Engineering, Construction management, Environmental Engineering for wholesome education.
- Our graduates will apply the fundamentals of Science (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in Engineering and capable of teaming with multi-disciplinary professionals to analyze, design and execute projects in the field for the solution of emerging technical problems.
- Our graduates will exhibit effective communication, leadership, problem solving, and decision making skills by understanding contemporary issues and contribute to overall personality and career development.
- Our graduates will be proficient in academics and eligible for further specializations in their core of interest, and involve in research and development for futuristic approaches.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Secured Rs. 32.9 Lakhs in funding from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology under the Big Data Analytics – Hyperspectral Remote Sensing (BDA-HSRS) scheme.
- Received funding from the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, Ministry of Education, under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme.
- Obtained Rs. 6.25 Lakh as event grants from various Central and State Government organizations, along with Rs. 1.65 Lakh for consultancy works.
- Published research articles in high-impact and reputed journals covering emerging technologies.
- Faculty Development and Training Programs are regularly conducted to remain updated with current industry practices.
- Curriculum is designed in alignment with current industrial standards, integrating effective teaching-learning methodologies.
- Industrial visits are arranged regularly to expose students to real-world practices and innovations in the construction industry.
- Students are encouraged to actively participate in student chapters of professional bodies such as ISTE and ICI, fostering technical and leadership growth through guest lectures, workshops, and paper presentations.
- All faculty members are affiliated with prestigious professional organizations like ICI, ISTE, and IAENG.
- Students are motivated to engage in NSS (National Service Scheme) activities, including blood donation drives, beach cleanups, medical camps, and awareness programs.
- The department emphasizes placement training, including group discussions and mock interviews, to prepare students for competitive career opportunities.
- Committed to promot ethical practices, environmental consciousness, and human relations in the realm of Civil Engineering.
- Departmental library is a treasure of knowledge, housing an extensive collection of textbooks, e-journals and reference materials.
